The craftsmanship of the future is digital and circular: Regenesi's Open Digital Upcycling Lab between talking and doing sustainability.
Regenesi's Open Digital Upcycling Lab is now operational, a physical and virtual space for experiencing and creating the circular fashion of today and tomorrow.
In a global context that requires rethinking the fashion system through the twin transition (sustainability and digital/AI), Regenesi responds with an open ecosystem, created thanks to European funding from the Emilia-Romagna Region. Here, technological innovation becomes the enabling factor of circularity, overcoming the dichotomy between manufacturing excellence and "handmade."
Thanks to 3D renderings, brands and retail clients co-design collections, eliminating prototyping waste. In the lab, professional sewing machines for leather and fabrics integrate state-of-the-art equipment:
- Precision laser cutting
- DTF (Direct to Film)
- printing UV laser engraving
The Lab redefines contemporary craftsmanship, offering designers, students, and companies an inclusive space to create personalized and experiential micro-lots. This solidity has already earned Regenesi international recognition, such as the Circular Economy Award at the CNMI Sustainable Fashion Awards, organized by the National Chamber of Italian Fashion and the UN Alliance for Sustainable Fashion and the MF Value Chain Award 2025, consolidating its Sustainability-as-a-Service model dedicated to those who want to rethink consumption, knowing that beauty is, finally, sustainable.
