Today we celebrate Dantedì, a day that goes beyond the simple commemoration of a poet. It is a moment to reflect on the #human journey, on #hope and on the capacity for #transformation that spans the centuries and that in this historical period is more central than ever.
Dante Alighieri teaches us that the journey knows no limits. As human beings, we can understand the not only literary, but profoundly human dimension of his work: a life path, an opportunity for self-analysis and deep reflection.
If in the Middle Ages journeys had defined roads and precise maps, today our journey is more like a path that is built step by step. We no longer have safe coordinates, but we possess the ability to adapt, to continually rebuild our route. The true protagonist of Dante's journey is #hope - the most important of the theological virtues. What matters is to keep alive that trust that pushes us beyond obstacles, that makes us believe in the possibility of change.
Regenesi and the "Un alloro per Dante" Project
We firmly believe in hope: hope for a better world, a world in which our children have at least the same opportunities that we had. With this spirit, together with the architect and designer Luisa Bocchietto, we conceived and created the work "A Laurel for Dante", commissioned by the municipality.
In the Hanging Gardens of the Palazzo della Provincia in Ravenna, we created a unique artistic installation: a large copper crown with 1,423 slits - a tenth of the hendecasyllables of the Divine Comedy. Every citizen and every guest can participate by inserting their own copper leaf. A simple gesture that becomes a symbol of collective participation, of sharing a cultural heritage that belongs to everyone.
Dante 700 Collection
In addition to the installation, we have developed the Dante 700 Collection, composed of genderless accessories that combine sustainability, functionality and style, made entirely in Italy with regenerated materials: leather, virgin wool but sustainable and made by weavers from Biella, like Luisa. Each product tells a story of #rebirth, just like Dante's journey: symbols such as the star and the laurel leaf are transformed into elements of contemporary design.
A Continuous Journey
In 1300, Dante began his otherworldly journey. Today, over 700 years later, we continue that journey. A journey through the new hells - how else to define the expanse of used clothes in the Atacama desert - in search of new paradises within the challenges of our time.
At Regenesi, we believe that the aesthetics of a new beautiful and sustainable, eco-design and emerging technologies are at the heart of this transformation. We work every day to make it possible, to be reborn once again.
